Press Release: Saving Grace Events delivers UA92 graduation celebration

Sunday 10th July was a historic day for University Academy 92 (UA92). More than 500 graduates, families, and friends gathered to celebrate their hard-earned degrees. The occasion? The first-ever graduation ceremony of UA92, and we at Saving Grace Events were thrilled to be a part of it.

A Graduation Celebration at the Iconic Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground

Set against the grand backdrop of The Point, Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground, the graduation ceremony radiated an energy of achievement and future promise. We were honoured to host esteemed guests such as UA92 co-founders Gary Neville and Nicky Butt, Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, and the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.

Unlocking Greatness: A Theme that Echoes UA92’s Central Philosophy

The theme of the event resonated with the central philosophy of UA92 – Greatness Unlocked. This wasn’t just a graduation; it was a moment to recognise the effort and potential of every student stepping into the world. The day kicked off with an uplifting welcome address by Gary Neville. His powerful words about making higher education accessible and diverse set the tone for the day’s events.

A Modern Take on Traditional Graduation Ceremonies

UA92’s graduation was a showcase of traditional elements with an innovative spin. String Infusion’s uplifting music filled the air while Argh Kid, aka David Scott, delivered an inspiring poetic performance. As the sun set, DJ SteveO’s beats had the crowd dancing and celebrating.

“In true UA92 style, we wanted to deliver a graduation experience that was deliberately different,” said Stacey Anderson, Head of Marketing at UA92. And, working hand-in-hand with UA92, we at Saving Grace Events strived to make that vision come to life.

UA92: The Legacy of the Manchester United Class of ’92

UA92 is a testament to the continued success of Manchester United legends, Class of 92 members Gary Neville, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, and Phil Neville. Their stellar careers in business, media, and sports have now branched into the world of education, in collaboration with Lancaster University.

Opening its doors in 2019, UA92 offers unique degrees focusing on personal development and practical skills required in the world of Business, Media, Sport, and the growing Digital sector.

Celebrating the Class of ’22 – The First Graduates of UA92

Reflecting on the awards event, Rebecca Hartley, founder of Saving Grace Events, remarked, “It was a great honour to win the pitch for this incredible celebration for the first students of UA92. We aimed to create a graduation event with a difference, one that truly embodied the core philosophies of UA92.”

This graduation was more than just an event – it marked a key milestone in UA92’s history. The Class of ’22 has set the stage for future cohorts, representing the ethos of UA92 – inclusivity, diversity, and the removal of barriers to higher education.

We, at Saving Grace Events, extend our heartiest congratulations to the Class of ’22. Your journey has just begun, and we are certain it will be filled with greatness.
