The Brief

Clifton Trade Bathrooms’ annual conference is an opportunity to bring colleagues from across its national depot network and central office together. Part business update, part celebration, the event gives teams time to reflect on their progress, look ahead and recognise the people and depots making an exceptional contribution.

Having worked with Clifton Trade Bathrooms for around five years, supporting both its annual conference and senior leadership events, Saving Grace Events understood the importance of balancing business purpose with a party colleagues would look forward to.

This year’s brief was to bring the energy and personality of the 1950s and rock ’n’ roll to the occasion, creating a cohesive experience from the conference through to the final song.

Our Approach

Working collaboratively with the client, we developed an event identity that carried the theme throughout the day and evening. Bespoke branding included playful illustrations of the senior leadership team in 1950s attire, giving the creative a personal connection to the business and its people.

The conference brought colleagues together around the year’s performance, forthcoming targets and outstanding achievements. We also coordinated overnight accommodation, helping teams from across the business make the most of their time together.

As the business programme concluded, the atmosphere shifted into celebration. A drinks reception and 1950s-inspired buffet set the scene for an evening filled with bold props, branded signage and illuminated table centres. Oversized Elvis and Marilyn figures and a vintage car guests could climb into created playful photo opportunities and brought the theme to life.

The entertainment put Clifton’s own people centre stage. A live rockaoke band invited colleagues to step up and perform their favourite songs, turning the party into a shared experience full of personality. A DJ carried the celebrations through to the close, with an open bar completing the evening’s hospitality.
