Saving Grace Events is so proud to work and support charities where we can. On the ‘Secret Garden Party’ we worked with The Christie to put on this amazing event. We are so privelidged to work with the team at Christies and this is a charity especially close to our founder, Rebecca Hartley who was successfully treated at the The Christie Hospital.
As the competition between charity events grows and with our reputation for delivering outstanding events, we wanted to create something visually and experientially spectacular at our annual showcase event.
We decided upon a Secret Garden theme, something that gave us great scope for imaginative event design. We sent out 3D invitations to our regular supporters and tempted them with an excitement and visual taste of what was to come. Guests arrived to a drinks reception and a stunning wisteria foliage wall, giving the perfect backdrop for photographs and ensuring the Secret Garden was visible. We recognised our sponsors via branded balloon displays and a smaller sponsors wall elsewhere.
Our hostesses for the evening were ethereal ‘garden fairies’ whose first job was to sell keys to the Secret Garden Gate which hid a very special prize! The rustic gate was adorned with wild flowers and only one key would fit the garden gate, the lucky winner received a stunning diamond solitaire necklace so generously donated by Beaverbrooks.
Guests then entered the room through a foliage and floral entrance and once inside the room were transported into the ‘Saving Grace Events Secret Garden’. Giant drooping wisteria trees flanked the room with lanterns and bespoke bench seating for a photo back-drop to die for. The tables were dramatic and impactful mixing matching wisteria trees with geometric candle, woods and floral displays. It was simply breathtaking.
Aside from the main stage area and dance floor, the centre of the room boasted a mini stage area to provide guests with immersive entertainment focal points, wherever their position in the room. On stage a beautiful white baby grand piano was placed which provided not only beautiful music throughout dinner, but also accompanied an overhead aerialist act which was truly haunting and spectacular.
Entertainment was theatrical and unexpected combining dance with music, vocals, acrobatics and aerialist and fundraising combined silent and live auctions with the exciting prize draw won by the opening of the Garden Gate on stage.
£25,000 was raised on the night, earning Saving Grace Events a plaque on the wall of fame at the Christie Hospital. This makes us here at Saving Grace Events so very humbled and honoured to support such a worthy charity. In terms of the impact the night had on our guests, the feedback speaks for itself…..
